I have a valid temporary residence permit issued by another EU Member State as being moved within the company and arriving at the host company
What is a host company?
Host company – a representation of this, a branch or a subsidiary of a company established in a foreign country that is not an EU Member State, as defined in the Republic of Lithuania Law on Consolidated Financial Statements of Enterprise Groups, it’s its representation or branch established in the Republic of Lithuania or another EU Member State and to which the foreigner is transferred within the company.
What requirements apply to short-term transfer to the Republic of Lithuania?
If you have a valid temporary residence permit issued by another EU Member State as being moved within your company, you have the right to enter and stay in the Republic of Lithuania without a visa for a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period, as well as to work in the host company established in the Republic of Lithuania.
If you have a temporary residence permit issued by another EU Member State which is not a Schengen State, then the host company established in the Republic of Lithuania must submit a free written notice to the Migration Department no later than 30 days before the planned transfer.
The notice must include the name (s) of the foreigner to be transferred, the date of birth, the position in the host company and the amount of wage, the duration of transfer between the host companies in other EU Member States, the registered address (es) of the host company (s).
How do I get or renew a temporary residence permit?
You must first submit an application for an issue or renewal of a temporary residence permit electronically through the Lithuanian Migration Information System (MIGRIS). Upon submission of application and after booking the visit time through MIGRIS, you must apply for a temporary residence permit (renewal) in person within 4 months from the date of submission of the application to the MIGRIS and submit the biometric data and the following documents:
Document supporting the grounds for the issue or renewal of a temporary residence permit.

5. a document that a company established in the Republic of Lithuania is a representative office, a branch or an enterprise belonging to the same group of companies, established in a foreign state which is not an EU Member State;
6. an employment contract with a company established in a foreign country which is not an EU Member State;
7. letter of appointment from a company established in a foreign country which is not an EU Member State;
The letter of appointment must indicate the duration of the intra-company transfer, the address (es) of the head office (s) of the host company (s), the position to which the foreigner is transferred inside the company, and the salary paid to him, also the commitment that after the end of the period of the intra-company transfer, the foreigner will be transferred back to a company established in a foreign country that is not a member of the European Union.

9. if you work under a regulated profession, a document confirming that you meet the conditions set out in Lithuania to engage in regulated professional activities;

The amount of subsistence is 1 minimum monthly salary per month. This may be an employment contract.
11. Document about the place of residence;
A document confirming that have an accommodation in which you intend to declare your place of residence and where the living space per each adult who has declared the place of residence there is not less than 7 square meters, you own or use such a room on a rent or lease basis, if the relevant contract is concluded for a period not shorter than the period of validity of the temporary residence permit and the contract is registered with the State Enterprise Centre of Registers (Real Estate Register), or the commitment of the legal entity to provide you with a suitable accommodation where you will declare your place of residence and which will meet the requirements for accommodation, during the period of the temporary residence permit, verified by the signature and seal of the notary of the Republic of Lithuania, the elder of the Municipality of the Republic of Lithuania or a manager of the natural or legal entity certified by the civil servant authorised by the Migration division or Migration Department, if such legal entity must bear a stamp.

Required only for the application for the first temporary residence permit. These are certificates issued by the competent authorities of the foreign countries in which you lived or are currently resident for the last 2 years prior to your arrival to Lithuania (except where you have lived abroad for less than 6 monthswithin a 12-month period) confirming the absence (if any) of your convictions in these states which must be issued not earlier than 6 months before the date of your application for a residence permit, translated into Lithuanian, as well as legalized and/or certified (Apostille) when necessary. If you have convictions, the certificate must state when and for what kind of criminal offense you were sentenced, what kind of punishment has been imposed, and whether it has been served.
A clearance certificate stating that you have no convictions, may be made in the original English language or may be accompanied by a translation of this document to English, verified by the translator’s signature.
13. Health insurance document (sum insured – EUR 6,000).
Health insurance must meet the following requirements:
the insurance must guarantee the reimbursement of the necessary medical expenses, as defined in the Law on Health of the Republic of Lithuania, and expenses that may arise due to the return of the foreigner to the foreign state for health reasons (transportation, including escort of a personal health care professional (specialists)); and
the insurance must be valid for the entire period of validity of the requested temporary residence permit or for at least one year.
Health insurance is not required if you are paying (will pay) social insurance contributions of the specified amount, or somebody will pay them for you.
Decisions on temporary residence permits are made and temporary residence permits are issued through:
for the issue of permit:
in accordance with the general procedure – within 2 months if promoted as a manager or as a specialist;
urgently – within 1 months if promoted as a manager or as a specialist;
in accordance with the general procedure – within 3 months if transferred as an employee-trainee;
urgently – within 45 calendar days if transferred as an employee – trainee;
for changing the permit:
in accordance with the general procedure – within 2 months;
urgently – within 1 month.

Can I bring family members?
You can. Family members are: your spouse, registered partner, unmarried and dependent underage children, your dependent parents if you have been supporting them for at least 1 year and they are unable to use the assistance of other family members living abroad.
They can apply for temporary residence permits at the same time as you. They will be issued temporary residence permits for the same period as your temporary residence permit.
When do I have to apply for the renewal of a temporary residence permit?
An application for the renewal of a temporary residence permit in general procedure with the accompanying documents must be submitted at least 2 months in advance and an application for changing a temporary residence permit and supporting documents must be submitted at least 1 month before the expiry of the temporary residence permit, but not earlier than 4 months in advance.
Do I need a work permit in the Republic of Lithuania?
You are exempted from the obligation to obtain a work permit in the Republic of Lithuania.
How do I know if my temporary residence permit has been issued as for an intra-corporate transfer?
If another EU Member State has granted you a temporary residence permit as a transfer within the company, the first part of the card will contain the entry “ICT”.
For how long will I get a temporary residence permit?
The temporary residence permit will be issued to you or renewed for a period of time that you are transferred to the host company established in the Republic of Lithuania, but for a maximum of 3 years if you are transferred as a manager or as a specialist and for a maximum of 1 year if you are transferred as an employee – trainee.
