I want to get a visa
I am the manager of the company or a shareholder of UAB or AB with at least 1/3 of the authorised capital of the company. What document can I get and how can I do it?
You can get a national visa if you come to Lithuania to engage in legal activities and you are a participant of the company registered in the Register of Legal Entities, established not earlier than one year before the date of application for a national visa, if the value of company's equity (for non-public limited companies and non-private limited companies – assets) is at least EUR 28,000, whereof at least EUR 14,000 are your invested funds or other assets.
To get a national visa you must electronically via the Lithuanian Migration Information System (MIGRIS) fill-out the application to issue the national visa and include digital copies of the documents being added to this application. After filling-out the request and booking the visitation time you must personally address in regards to the issuance of national visa and submit the biometric data, as well as original documents. Digital copies of these documents shall be added to the application:
1. Valid travel document (passport) that meets the following requirements:
- must be issued in the last ten years;
- must contain at least two blank pages;
- travel document validity term must be at least 3 months longer than the requested visa validity term.
2. Document for the establishment or acquisition of an undertaking established not earlier than within one year before the date of submission of the application for a national visa (it is not necessary to submit a document on registration of a legal entity in the Register of Legal Entities).
3. A document confirming that the value of the company's equity (for non-public limited companies and non-private limited companies – assets) amounts to at least EUR 28,000 (e.g. interim financial report of the company (balance sheet or statement of changes in equity).
4. A document confirming that you are a member of the company and the funds or assets invested in your company are at least EUR 14,000.
5. Document about sufficient means of subsistence (e. g., employment contract, bank account statement).
The subsistence amount is 1 minimum monthly salary per month, the amount for return to the country of origin or a foreign country to which you are entitled to travel, the amount of funds – 1 minimum monthly salary.
Funds or received regular income must be sufficient to live in Lithuania for the entire period of validity of the visa. These documents may be submitted in English or a certified-by-the-interpreter’s-signature translation to English from a different language may be submitted.
6. Health insurance document, valid during the stay in Lithuania and in all the Schengen countries.
Health insurance must guarantee the reimbursement of the necessary medical expenses, as defined in the Republic of Lithuania Law on Health, and expenses that may arise due to the return of the alien to a foreign state for health reasons (transportation, including escort of a personal health care specialist (specialists)). The sum insured must be at least EUR 30,000.
You have to pay a fee – EUR 140.
