We remind you that after the revocation of the quarantine regime in the Republic of Lithuania, the Migration Department granted a tolerance period of 2 months from the end of the quarantine for aliens whose period of legal stay in Lithuania ended when quarantine was announced in Lithuania and who could not leave Lithuania in time due to no fault of their own, as well as for those for whom a decision on their  return has been taken, but the period of voluntary departure ended during the quarantine. During the tolerance period, the above-mentioned aliens who could not (cannot) leave Lithuania on time due to no fault of their own are not subject to return decisions and are not subject to administrative liability for illegal stay.

We remind you that the established tolerance period expires soon, i. e. on August 17, 2020 00:00 a.m., therefore, we urge the above-mentioned aliens to complete all the necessary procedures or leave the Republic of Lithuania by this time. At the end of the tolerance period, the regular rules will apply. Please note that those aliens who remain in the Republic of Lithuania after the end of the tolerance period (i.e. from August 18, 2020, 00:00 a.m.) will continue to be illegally in the Republic of Lithuania and therefore will be subject to decisions on their return and administrative liability for illegal stay, and aliens who have been the subject of a return decision but still did not leave voluntarily during the tolerance period, will be subject to decisions on removal and administrative liability may apply.

We also urge aliens who changed their employer during the quarantine in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania to apply to the Migration Department for a temporary residence permit to work for the new employer as soon as possible, but not later than the end of the tolerance period.
