REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA
LAW ON PASSPORT LAW REALISATION

Article 1. Offer to the Government
To make an offer to the Government to review the valid laws as well as other legal acts relating to the regulations of the Passport Law and to prepare appropriate drafts of alteration or new legal acts if applicable until 1st September 2002.
Article 2. Offer to the Minister of Interior
1. Minister of Interior shall establish the passport form not later than within 3 months upon effective date of the Law.
2. Minister of Interior shall prepare and set the procedure for issuance, changing, annulment and destruction of the passport until 1st January 2003.
Article 3. Offer to the Minister of Foreign Affairs
1. Minister of Foreign Affairs shall prepare and set in co-ordination with the Minister of Interior the procedure for producing documents relating to issuance or changing of passport to the embassies and consular offices of the Republic of Lithuania abroad, forwarding of the documents to the institution authorised by the Minister of Interior and presenting of documents to the citizen by 1st January 2003.
2. Minister of Foreign Affairs shall prepare the procedure for issuance of some document enabling to come back to the Republic of Lithuania and some document enabling to continue the travel in the foreign country until 1st January 2003.
I promulgate this Law enacted by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
