An application to confirm an invitation on behalf of a legal person must be submitted by the head of the legal person or his/her authorised representative, who is related to this legal person by employment, or a natural person, who is a participant of the said legal person (hereinafter – authorised representative). The head or an authorised representative of a legal person refers to:
The inviting party can submit the application to confirm the invitation not earlier than 6 months before the expected arrival of the foreigner.
A legal person can apply for the confirmation of an invitation only for a foreigner, who is a representative of a foreign economic entity, engaged in a business relation with the legal person. A legal person can submit no more than 50 applications to confirm an invitation in one calendar year. One application to confirm an invitation can be used only for one foreigner.
The inviting party can fill out and submit the application for the invitation confirmation by accessing the Information system of public services related to the issuance of personal and other documents, consulting services to citizens and foreigners in the Republic of Lithuania (https://epis.vrm.lt).
Decisions regarding the invitation confirmation or refusal to confirm are made at the Migration Unit of Territorial Police Office according to the location of the registered office of the inviting party.
The application to confirm an invitation must feature the following details:
Upon submitting the application to confirm the invitation, the inviting party must also submit a copy of the travel document of the invited foreigner.
The inviting party must ensure that the owner (co-owners) of the residential premises, where the foreigner will be accommodated, or his/her (their) authorised representatives confirm the agreement to accommodate the foreigner at the residential premises owned by the owner (co-owners) by the right of ownership in the e-services information system or provide a digital copy of the above-mentioned agreement, approved by the person, indicated in the articles No. 26, 27 or 271 of the Law on the Notariate of the Republic of Lithuania. If the inviting party is not the same as the owner of the residential premises, then the application to approve the invitation may be submitted only upon receiving the above-mentioned agreement of the owner (co-owners) of the residential premises or his/her (their) authorised representative.
The inviting party must also pay the state fee for the confirmation of the invitation. The state fee for the confirmation of the invitation is 4.9 Eur.
The decision regarding the confirmation of the invitation is processed in 3 working days since the day of the submission of the application to confirm the invitation.
