Documents confirming the right to permanently reside in the Republic of Lithuania

Document certifying the right of EU Member State citizen to permanently live in the Republic of Lithuania is a certificate confirming the right of EU Member State citizen to permanently reside in the Republic of Lithuania (in paragraph 3 Article 104 of the Law).

If a family member of an EU citizen or another person who uses the right of free movement of persons according to EU legal acts are not EU citizens, their right to reside permanently in the Republic of Lithuania shall be confirmed by issuing a card of the permanent residence permit in the country of a family member of an EU citizen (hereinafter referred to as ‘a card of the EU permanent residence permit’). The card shall be executed for a 10-year period to be replaced upon the expiry of the period. The card will contain electronically registered biometric data of a family member of an EU citizen for the purposes of confirmation of the identity, namely, an image of the face and fingerprints of two fingers except for cases provided for by Regulation (EC) No 1030/2002 (Article 104, paragraph 4, of the Law).
