2. Subparagraph 1 Of Paragraph 1 Of Article 101

When citizen of European Union Member State sustains the status of employee or self-employed person (subparagraph 1 of paragraph 1 of Article 101 of the Law) (s)he must submit:

  1. a valid passport of an EU citizen or an identity card (the data must be verified against the EU citizen’s data indicated in the application);
  2. the documents confirming the ground for the issuance of the certificate:
  • documents confirming that this working agreement is terminated (its validity period has expired) or document, confirming that the activity was terminated and document confirming that (s)he is temporarily not working because of illness or an accident; or
     
  • documents proving that (s)he has terminated working agreement or activity after no less than one year due to the circumstances that are beyond his/her control and note from territorial employment office, confirming that (s)he has registered in this office in an appropriate manner as unemployed; or
     
  • documents proving that (s)he has been working by fixed-term employment contract for less than one year or within first 12 working months has terminated working agreement or activity due to the circumstances that are beyond his/her control and note from territorial employment office, confirming that (s)he has registered in this office in an appropriate manner as unemployed; (in such case (s)he maintains this status for 6 months from the start of unemployment); or
     
  • documents proving that (s)he has terminated his/her employment contract (its validity has expired) or activity due to the circumstances that are beyond his/her control and note from territorial employment office, confirming that (s)he has registered in this office in an appropriate manner as unemployed and document confirming that (s)he has started learning a new profession; or
     
  • document proving that employment contract is terminated (its validity has expired) due to the circumstances that are controlled by him/her and note from territorial employment office, confirming that (s)he has registered in this office in an appropriate manner as unemployed and document confirming that (s)he has started to learn profession related to his/her previous job.

Prior to lodging the application, the state fee in the amount of 8,60 EUR for the issuance of the certificate must be paid (there are no state fees for replacement of a certificate)

The copies of documents attached to the application must be certified in accordance to the procedure established by legal acts, the documents issued by foreign institutions must be legalised or certified by a note (Apostille) in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts, with the exception of the cases when, according to treaties of the Republic of Lithuania or legal acts of the European Union, a document does not need to be legalised or certified with such note, it must be translated into Lithuanian, and the translations must be certified in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts..
