1. Subparagraph 1 Of Paragraph 1 Of Article 101

A citizen of an EU Member State, when (s)he is an employee or a self-employed person (subparagraph 1 of paragraph 1 of Article 101), must submit:

  1. a valid passport of an EU citizen or an identity card (the data must be verified against the EU citizen’s data indicated in the application);
  2. the documents confirming the ground for the issuance of the certificate:
    • an employment contract or a letter of an enterprise, agency or organisation confirming his/her lawful employment in the Republic of Lithuania; or 
       
    • another document confirming that (s)he is the owner of an enterprise, agency or organisation registered in the Republic of Lithuania, when the Register of Legal Entities does not contain such data; or other documents evidencing his/her lawful activities in the Republic of Lithuania.

Prior to lodging the application, the state fee in the amount of 8,60 EUR for the issuance of the certificate must be paid (there are no state fees for replacement of a certificate).

The copies of documents attached to the application must be certified in accordance to the procedure established by legal acts, the documents issued by foreign institutions must be legalised or certified by a note (Apostille) in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts, with the exception of the cases when, according to treaties of the Republic of Lithuania or legal acts of the European Union, a document does not need to be legalised or certified with such note, it must be translated into Lithuanian, and the translations must be certified in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts.
